📋 Use case

Parallaxed sends transactional SMS notifications in two contexts:

Parallaxed platform alerts — forge session completion, API usage warnings, account notices, and service updates.
NaggyAI plugin alerts — NaggyAI is an optional notification plugin available within Parallaxed. Users who enable it receive task completion alerts, system escalations, and workflow events. NaggyAI opt-in is separate and not required to use Parallaxed.

🔄 How opt-in consent is collected

The following steps describe exactly how a user provides SMS consent before any messages are sent:

Account Settings → Notifications — After creating an account, the user navigates to Account Settings and opens the Notifications section.
Consent language displayed — A clearly labeled SMS opt-in section shows the full consent language before any action is taken.
Affirmative action required — The user must actively check an unchecked checkbox. Consent is never pre-selected.
User saves — The user clicks Save to confirm. No messages are sent until this step is completed.
Confirmation sent — An opt-in confirmation SMS is delivered immediately after consent is saved.

Opt-in is entirely optional. Users can access and use all Parallaxed features without opting in to SMS notifications.
